Emigration

The most information about emigration to Canada is available in the Canadian Embassy in London. (Canadian Embassy in Stockholm does not handle emigration matters.) It might be difficult to get in touch with them sometimes.

This link is useful and you'll find everything you need:

My emigration was first meant to be handled via the "skilled worker" class. Eventually, I changed because it was cumbersome and time consuming.
Since I am married to a Canadian citizen, it was easier to search through the "family class". It took several months and and the cost was $CAN 7,500.

Sports

Canada's national sport is Lacrosse. But Canada is more known for hockey. Nearly half a million undomar active in ice hockey. Most winter sports are known in Canada. One exception, however, bandy. Few know what Bandy is. A new sport that is becoming popular is ringette. It started in 1963 in North Bay, Ontario. Ringette is played in a hockey rink with 5 unfolded and a goalkeeper in each team. It uses a ring instead of the puck and a club without leaves. Popular on TV is American football. Canada's version of the Super Bowl called Gray Cup. It is common with "mini versions" of curling (shuffle board) and bowling at pubs.

Thinking about studying in Canada?

Canada is divided into autonomous provinces, which all have at least one university. Each university sets its own over education. Therefore, rates and fees vary. I In Canada pursued higher education at three different institutions:

  • Universities provide training in most disciplines.
  • Institutes Some Univerisities are called Institutes.
  • Community Colleges is a generic term for a number of specialist schools, institutes and colleges
